Man another AMAZING DAY! Please help us welcome ALLIANCE Jiujitsu St. Croix’s 2nd Black belt Chris Johnson. Achieving your black belt in jiujitsu takes years of dedication and sacrifice and earning it is truly a life accomplishment of its own, but there are times when it can be more special. Chris and @bernardofariabjj have been friends for many years. Their journey started back in New York when Bernardo was teaching at Marcelo Garcia’s and Chris was a student. Their friendship has endured and so when Bernardo was coming out it only made sense to have Bernardo present Chris with his well earned Black Belt. Bernardo had written an amazing speech about their journey together and as he put that well earned belt around Chris waist, you could see how much it meant to them both. This is a prime example as to why we do what we do and the unbelievable impact that the relationships that we make on the mats together transcend over time!
